I needed a new everyday point and shoot camera, and I found it with the Cool Pix L12 Nikon camera (7.1 megapixels). This is an affordable camera that works awesome in low light. I jokingly call it the "PD150 of digital cameras" because it works great in low light and I got stunning pictures without a flash (very important in churches where flash isn't allowed). Read one review here. Let's face it, when you are on vacation who wants to "think" about taking pictures? I personally just like to point and shoot. In fact, I took over 1000 photos on my recent vacation (see pictures in the post below). I bought it at Sam's Club for only $159. I like to buy cameras at Sam's Club because you can return electronics without being charged a 15% restocking fee like most major retailers charge. In fact, I first bought a 10 MP Kodak digital camera but returned it because it was terrible even with a flash! (made me think of HD - Great for outdoors, but terrible indoors:). I also like that the Nikon works with AA rechargeable batteries. The batteries last a very long time. It's small enough to carry in your purse at all times (one should never be without their camera as you never know when a "picture opportunity" will present itself!).
