I had the pleasure of speaking with the editor of Brides magazine earlier this year, Cari Wolfert. She asked me what is new in wedding videography, so of course, I mentioned the new DSLR cameras that have taken the video industry by storm and are capturing some awesome images! Other filmmakers must have mentioned that camera too because the Canon 5DMKII is featured prominently in the article entitled, "Because This Is a Video Camera...and five other reasons why you need to hire a videographer" (see page 180 of the Brides.com/Chicago article). This article is nationwide and is in all local editions of the Brides magazine in your market.
As the Public Relations Chairperson for WEVA International, I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't mention WEVA - so I did! One of my favorite stats of the WEVA Survey can be found on page 184: 98% of newlyweds surveyed said they'd recommend that engaged couples hire someone to tape their wedding.
